This tour combines the spectacular ski touring of the majestic Lyngen Peninsula with the tours on western side of the peninsula; Balsfjord and Tamokdalen areas. Apart of the skiing we enjoy the views to the opens sea with the white mountains and arctic spring.

Frozen waterfalls are just amazing. To climb them is surely a challenge. If climbing is your thing, ice climbing might something that you should try. This course leads you to the world of vertical ice. 

The goal of the course:

- Get to know ice climbing on frozen waterfalls.

- To learn basic techniques in waterfall ice, crampon and ice axe techniques

- To learn belaying techniques in waterfall ice

This course provides the basics of the avalanche knowledge and the avalanche victime rescue in a compact form.

Lyngen peninsula and its surroundings is a great place not just do high quality skitouring in amazing atmosphere, but it is also THE PLACE to ski steep. There is such a great variety of couloirs in every exposition and dificulty with relatively easy access, that you can find easily great lines for one week.

Unlike on a typical skitouring week we push it a little bit harder to achieve more. We may stand up very early, be on skies at midnight or boot back up the exhausting couloir just to be able to ski some special descents in this special place.

Lofoten is definitely a place where the sea meets the mountains. The scenic arctic coast offers such a strong sensation of sea and the mountains are just there and they are ski-able. In March the snow reaches the sea line and it is possible to ski down to cost enjoy not only beautiful scenery but also the good quality snow while touring.
